do u think this is a good letter
Dear dad,
As you know I really want a hamster and mum maybe after my holiday I have been researching all about them on the computer and the school books. you may think I will get bored of it I will pay for it and they are easier to look after than guinea pigs I am trying harder at school because mum said if I get good at school I can have one I will tidy my room and make you tea and anything else you want
I will do anything to get a hamster just tell me how I can prove to you I will look after
what can i do 2 improve it

I Had To Persuade My Dad To Let Me Get Another Rabbit, And Eventually My Hard Work Paid Off! I'm Allowed To Get One On 2nd June =]
Right Ok, Heres What You Should Do(I'm A Pro At This So It Should Work)
1.Try Sitting Down And Explaining All The Facts To Him, Explaining How You Will Pay For It,Look After It Etc. If That Doesnt Work Then Try Being Really Helpfull o Earn More Pocket Money, Or If Your Old Enough Even Look For A Local Job (Yoo Dont Have 2 Actually Get A Job, Just Looking Creates A Good Impression, So Your Dad Will Knw Your Serious)
2.If All Of The Above Fails Then Beg Him Constantly Untill He Gives In Or Try Nd Persuade Your Mum To Persuade Him. Thats What I Did, But Starting An Animal Care Course In September Also Helped.
Good Luck Hunni! Hope You Get Your Hammy! xXx

nicely, i don't understand what to assert approximately convincing your father and mom, this is not any longer something i'm able to administration. basically attempt to tell them that they are no longer stinky, because of the fact in case you clean your hamster's cage as quickly as each week (which you are going to be able to desire to do) then this is not stinky. in case you elect my suggestion, i've got had 11 hamsters in my lifetime, and that they are no longer very super pets. I recommend, a million/10 hamsters are so candy, yet something of them are asleep all day and bite once you preserve your hand in front of their mouths. i'm no longer attempting to assert something just to assert it, I incredibly have experienced it. a very good kind of the hamsters I had looked so superb interior the keep, yet don't be fooled, their habit can completely exchange from superb to scared/protecting the 2d you're taking it out of the keep. Get a domestic dog or a kitten. you may get them at puppy food market for 20 dollars.

The big thing about a hamster is it pees on the crunchy stuff in its cage and has to be cleaned out 1or2 times a week or urine smell fills the house, so not only do you need to replace shavings you have to soap down the popular sammys tubes and basic plastic cage. Then you have to be vigulant about hand washing after handling rodent. So if your not involved and my kids weren't, it becomes Moms or dads job quickly.

Ask him what you need to do in order to demonstrate to him that you are mature enough to take care of a pet. Have him set a task or series of "proofs" for you. Have him agree that if you accomplish them, he'll let you get the pet. Perhaps you can also tell him that if, after getting the pet, you then fail to keep your agreements, you will give the pet away or let him give it away. Maybe even the fact that you come up with a mature, rational solution such as this it will cause him to think you are ready for the responsibility.

Why doesn't your Dad want you to have a hamster? You need to find that out first!
You need to prove that you can be responsible and reliable.. help out around the house and so on. Only ask him if you can have one when he is in a good mood and not busy. Promise him you will completely take care of it yourself and make sure that you do.
If its for another reason, like you already have a dog or cat, or your dad is allergic, then you will need to make sure your pet is kept clean and safe and out of their way.

You haven't said why he won't let you have one. If it's because he thinks you won't look after it then tell him you will and to give you three months or something and if you end up getting bored and your parents have to clean it out and stuff then say he can get rid of it. That way, if you show that you can look after it yourself and he sees you are taking care of it he might realise it's a good idea for it to stay. If that's not the reason he won't let you have one then add some additional details for us.

My husband didn't want a hamster (must be a man thing) and me and my kids really did. We persuaded him by explaining that he would even know it was there cos we'd clean it out and feed it and look after it and pay for it. Eventually he agreed and we got one (Peppa!) And you know what? He bothers with it more than the kids do! He loves her now. Just make the promises and make sure you stick to them!

there are lots of points to argue with them.
1.they dont take alot of care just love food and a clean cage is all they need.
2. they are not messy!!
3. there small if you put them in your room your dad probable wont even see them.
4. they are not very expensive! if you buy the cage food and ball. i will sell you a baby dwarf hamster for 5$ but you can also get them at a pet store for 12-20$ i dono if you can and want one, live close to salt lake UT email me at duffin_501@yahoo.com hope it helped

when i asked my parents if i could get a hamster they wouldn't trust me just like they wouldn't trust you. So i asked them if i could start off with a cheaper animal, which was a mouse. I showed them that I could take care of the mouse so they let me get the hamster. If you prove to them or at least your dad that you can take care of that hamster they can, or maybe will get you one.

wait for your birthday or some other special occasion and say you would love to own one above anything else ,promise to look after it and make sure you do ,that way you are showing responsibility , and then ask you mom again and ask her to have a word with your dad about it and hopefully you will be able to have one .
