That made such an impact on you that you had to write it down or always rememered it? Something that really made you think, or hit home.
If so, what was it.
And I don't mean stuff like "I wanna rock and roll all night and party everyday".

Into the West by Annie Lenox from the Lord of the Rings, the Return of the King. I actually wrote it down and had it stipulated that I wanted it sung at my funeral.
How's that for impact?

A couple came to mind.
The Dance, by Garth Brooks (makes me think of my deceased brother) The lyrics that hit home the most were:
And now, I'm glad I didn't know,
The way it all would end, the way it all would go,
Our lives, are better left to chance,
I could have missed the pain,
But I'd have had to miss, the dance.
But the entire song hit home for me.
And
I Hope You Dance, by LeAnn Womack (It sums of everything that I wish for my daughter as well as my loved ones if I ever pass on). The lyric that hit home the most was: "Give the heavens above more than just a passing glance". But I really liked the entire song, so it all hit home. Same as above.

I've planned each chartered course, each careful step along the highway
but more, much more than this, I did it my way
yes there were times, I'm sure you knew when I bit off more than I could chew
but through it all when there was doubt
I ate it up and spit it out
the record shows, I faced the blows, and did it my way
