Im currently in the process of upgrading my G4 500mhz and im having I hard time diciding which is a better value since they are both around the same price range. Here are my options:

G4 1.5GHz for $259.99 SINGLE or the G4 1.0GHz Dual for $279.99.

I will be using it for 3d rendering and modeling. I also use Photoshop and Illustrator as my main apps. I know the dual helps a lot for multitasking but since the single is faster! AARGHH!! LOL Hard time deciding! =)

I go with the above, for multitasking I feel the Dual Core be good. Myself for what I do I use an AMD 64 San Diego 3400. Sometimes we may tend to overkill for what we really need. But, if yours only 500 MHz then I feel anything be better at this point. Myself I would go the G4 1.5 for $260. But, that for what I need. Multitasking you may see better performance with the Dual and you only talking $20 difference, just be sure your MOBO support this.
