YES for new devices.

Take note in link below that "from March 13, 2006, WPA2 certification is mandatory for all devices wishing to be WiFi certified"

Any WiFi certified card made after 13th March 2006 is capable of using WPA2 authentication and encryption protocol. Earlier cards would probably need a driver update, check the manufacturers website.

To use WPA2 with windows XP you will need to make sure your system is up to date. Microsoft released WPA2 provisioning services in May 2005.

i might be brandishing my ignorance, but WPA and WPA2 are not wireless card transmission protocols, but authentication protocols used by the OS.

So, in a way, "yes", but I think the real answer is "not applicable"
