Evolution

I believe that there is a God because there are so many things that exist that are completely unexplainable. I hope there is a God, so that there is something to turn to at the end of the day.

However there is some evolution.....everything changes...nothing stays the same. I don't believe that is evolution is the reason that everything is existing here on earth. How do you explain the complexities of our bodies of our genetics....how do you explain how there is a function for every part of us (well most at least). I doubt evolution was the sole cause for our bodies to function the way it does.

There are too many unexplainable events for there to be no higher power. However to each his own belief. I think everyone has their own notions about evolution and God....and it is best to not press one's views on another.

In Genesis it is said that "man is made in the image and likeness of God".

Science says that all life and material comes from a big bang. Before the bang there was noting after the bang time and evolution began

Is it not possible that both refer to the same event that something or someone has to have iniaited that big bang why not call that someone God for a lack of a better name. God is above our perception and we use human terms and images to describe God - maybe God is the source of energy.

This is not the same as intelligent direction /design as some believe where God takes an active role . God also gave us free will so evolution can proceed as it does. There is no reason we have to separate God and evolution as perhaps both are the same.

Your question is attempting to have people choose between to entirely separate concepts! It is possible to be a scientist who accepts evolutionary theory and still believe in god. Evolution explains changes in organisms over time, not how life began.

People, usually Christian fundamentalists, often see evolution as a threat to their beliefs. However evolution, like any aspect of science, does not attempt to prove or disprove the existence of god. If people would just understand this better, then there would be a lot less confusion and ignorant questions (I'm not calling your question ignorant by the way).

My point is, don't let buzzwords have a knee-jerk reaction on your opinion. Be informed, question things, look for answers by doing research. If you actually do this, you will understand why evolutionary theory and the belief in god are not in conflict (and I'm NOT referring to intelligent design).

Evolution ,Yes. God -No.

God is simply a marketed and merchandise product .May be the idea of God as generations down ages have distorted by a few for their profitable good. Evolution is a theory well encrusted with reason and proof.

Evolution, because there are proves. And it is not that I don't respect the people who believe in God, I do, but I just think that the evolution makes more sense.

I believe in God, evolution is just man here on Earth trying to help God create a better word.

I BELIEVE that there may be a higher power such as God.

I KNOW evolution cause it is science and fact and can be proven unlike a BELIEF.

Evolution occurs every day whether we BELIEVE in it or not.

Yes, to both. I do not believe that the two concepts are mutually exclusive. I think that there is a lot of myth with creationism, and many parables which shouldn't necessarily be taken literally, such as the whole Adam and Eve and the tree and the serpant story (can we say symbolism!), but that there are grains of truth there which can be linked to evolution. I think that there were probably hundreds of Adams and Eve's and they probably evolved into the first "beings" or humans on the planet.
