My dad gave me a B&D router, 1616 Super Deluxe. Seems to be a good router but it's missing the arbor...I thought I would use my internet skills and find the part and order, but much to my dismay they do not make that part anymore. Can anyone help. I would hate to spend over 100$ for a new router when I have a perfectly good one here.

Thanks,

Parts such as you are looking for tend to be standard. I would go to the nearest B&D/Porter-Cable/DeWalt service center with the router in hand and ask them if they don't have something you can try.

sounds like you snapped the safety piece of that will not let the blade spin till the top of the blinder is fully seated with the base. if you can find the piece that snapped off just use some super glue to glue it back on. if you can not find the piece then push pin that is about the same size as the piece that snapped off (long enough to engage the motor) and press it into the spot where the piece broke off. or use some "J/B weld but that will cost you a lil money

Hmmm...sounds like time to start checking garage sales or flea markets. If you have a Tool Repair center in your area, they may have one in stock. Sears repair shop may also have the part.
