most people use it to refer to destiny, it represents areas that are not within your control,,,,, though often i think many small individual actions lead to an event happening,,,, so it really would be hard to tell
"Destiny refers to a predetermined course of events. It may be conceived as a predetermined future, whether in general or of an individual. It is a concept based on the belief that there is a fixed natural order to the universe."

It is the inevitability of a phenomenon happening. There are many ramifications to Fate. Religion, belief and control could also play into the discussion. E.g., Does free will negate fate? I know one thing for sure if I jump off a cliff I will land. Another thing is will power does not work for diarrhea. Then again as I get up each day, do I have any control of what is going to happen to me? And can I make a difference? In everyday usage the word is used for phenomenon that I have no control.

Fate is a misguided belief that we lack control and lack options in day to day life. Fate is a giving up of responsibility for the choices that we can make in life.

There are things over which we have little or no control, there are also many things that we do have control.

Fate is a choice.

The future events are destine to happen. You and I will die. A misconception about fate is that the details to an end need be known. When the end event is known, that is fate. As so it seems, your fate is sealed.

A convenient excuse for failure!!!!

Is this answer fated to be discarded? Perhaps! That is what fate is all about.... if it gets chosen as the Best, I would have done justice to the question.... if it is not, the answer was fated to be ineffective.

It's something predetermined and difficult to change. Even if you put in effort to remedy the situation, you'll soon realise that there's really nothing to change. You either come to terms with this fate or events somehow lead you back to what was predetermined for you.

Newton has already expressed it. 'Every action produces equal and opposite reaction. Fate is nothing but 'the reaction' we experience consequent to our own action previously.
