"Blossoming". It sounds cliche, but I'm thinking not only things that blossom in spring, but also fruits and such from summer. Afterall, 16 is supposed to be coming of age and blossoming and all those good things. Try different flowers and blossoms, fruits and fragrances. Some of my favorites that come to mind are beautiful cherry blossoms, peaches, dogwoods, apple blossoms and apple fragrance, gardenias, etc...
That is kind of a one-dimensional theme, so you might want to add something to it. This may seem kind of non-linear, but just off the top of my head, I'm thinking something that might sort of go along with the blossoming thing is old-school, classy movie stars, like Audrey Hepburn, Grace Kelly, etc...

But that's just random brainstorming... Good luck!!!

i would say that the funnest themes for summer are like at a beach, hawaii or just tropical. it's going to be outside right?
you could go to party america and get a ton of beach stuff like flower lays, little umbrellas, little hawaiian girl cups, everything imaginal! it's great.

i hope you have a good sweet 16(if this is your party) and have tonnnnnns of fun.

happy birthday (a little early:)

Independence Day-

Use colors red, white and blue, and do whatever you want!~

Or beachy themes. My birthday is in July, and I have pool parties and go bowling etc.

Why not ask the sixteen year old in question? I'm sure she knows already what kind of party she wants.

Who's the Birthday person? If it's a boy, have all of the awesome cars, etc. And, if it's a girl, a beach party will do!

Hawaiian. Who doesn't love sipping drinks out of coconut shells and lil umbrellas. teekee lights, pig roast, and FLOWERS, FLOWERS, FLOWERS. Hire some belly dancers too. Wow, that just sounds so great, I might just do this for my son's graduation next year.

Play games like "How low can you go"
