No. It is not possible.
Our personalities do not go on after we die. That belief came about because it appeals to Wishful Thinking.
There was a reason the toy went off, and it isn't a supernatural one, just because you can't figure out what that explanation is.

Sorry for your loss.. 80% of the population believe in the after life..and its common for spirit energy to use the electric power in homes to contact you and let you know they are there... and toys and phones and water and doors and the list is endless .. They can and will use what they can to get your attention.

Maybe...
The intuitive sense you had that the toy going off is connected to the death is surely meaningful; what it means is difficult to determine.
There is much that we only pretend to understand about the relationship between the seen and the unseen.

I'd guess it unlikely but not impossible. The human body does possess an electrical charge. When a soul departs the body that electrical charge might be discharged somewhere. Did this electronic toy hold any significance in your friendship? While I wouldn't entirely rule out the possibility, I'd look for more practical explanations.
Sorry for your loss.

Yes. Spirits have been shown to affect electromagnetic impulses in studies.
There is a cold spot in my girlfriend's house and if you bring a cell phone into that area it starts showing random numbers on the screen and acting up.

Yea in fact it's more likely they would come to you by moving something you associate with them rather than exhausting the energy required to physically appear.

No. There is no such thing as spirits interacting with the real world.

Well, I dunno about electronic toys, but I once got in contact with my great-grandfather through a candle. It was very cool at the time, I could hear his voice and everything.
