First of all the term"Shemale" is very offensive. It is a term created by the porn industry. The correct term is Transgender or Transsexual. And no AX we are not Transvestites ether. TV's can be ether male or female that dress and live ether full or part time in the role of the opposite gender but do not wish to change there body's. TG's/TS's generally believe there in the "wrong body" and will make permanent changes. Such as cross gender Hormone Therapy, Lazar and Electrolysis treatments to permanently remove unwanted hair, (M-F) removal of breast (F-M) etc. A TG/TS will live his or her live in the opposite gender of there birth but may choose to not have Gender Reassignment Surgery, ether because of personal reasons, or financial reasons. If they do a complete transition and have G.R.S. I prefer to drop the term Transsexual as they are now simply a man or a woman. Sense I'm a pre operative woman I can grantee we do not have a menstrual cycle sense I have no uterus, ovary's, fallopian tubes or any reproductive organs of a genetic woman.

A transvestite is a man who wears women's clothes, and is happy to be just that, a man in women's clothes.
A shemale is a porn star who is a pre-op transsexual, basically a woman with a penis.
A transsexual, post op, is a woman who has had surgery and hormone therapy and is successfully living as the gender they should have been. They do not have the physical periods, but they do have the other effects, like moodyness, headaches, etc. Other women tend to cycle with them too.

The term "shemale" is a derogatory term used by the porn industry to describe a M2F crossdresser or transsexual.
And since they are genetically male, they do not have a uterus or ovaries, hence no menstruation, even if they undergo SRS.

No, I don't know if you speak of transsexual women (shemale seems a little offensive in my opinion) but they don't have periods

A "she male" still has a phallus.
A "transvestite" who is "post op" is some one who has had their organ surgically removed. Then left over skin is then made into a faux version of a woman's reproductive organ (don't know another polite term for that...sorry).
Anyhow. No transvestites do not have periods. The region could bleed as a result of tear or fissure. However they do not produce a period because they do have the ability to give birth.
A "hermaphrodite" is someone who is born with both male and female organs. This however is exceptionally rare.
