Change your filter media. In other words, take out the activated carbon or whatever cleaning deice you have and replace it with a new one. Turn on the filter (with the new media) and leae it on until the cloudiness goes away.

Or you can buy a cloudy water "go-away" formula found in many pet stores.

Bad bacteria,it's growing, that's why the tank gets cloudier after a water change. Do a 25% change once a week, more if it starts to stink. When the bacteria that are clouding your tank run out of whatever they are feeding on the water will clear. If you know all about the good bacteria then you know that they can't do their job until the colonies form on solid surfaces. The bacteria that are clouding your water may be competing with the Nitrobacter and Nitrosomonas for nutrients, this will keep the ammonia numbers low,but will also delay the formation of the Nitrosomonas colony.Cycling the tank could go on for a long time, just watch the Ammonia and Nitrite numbers and keep up the weekly water changes and next time look into fishless cycling,it takes 5 or 6 weeks, but it would be faster than your situation.

The tank remains installation. Brown algae looks in new tanks. The brown algae and cloudy water must be long previous after the tank is greater mature. For the clear out, do no longer shop touching the clear out. enable it mature and the good micro organism construct up. make certain you no longer wash the clear out aspects with faucet water and to function fish slowly. And the pleco can no longer stay interior the ten gallon tank, it somewhat is in basic terms too small. you are able to ewipe off the algae with an alga brush/magnet and additionally make certain you attempt your water!
