My boyfriend was trying to set up a network from my old machine that has XP to the the new one with vista, but something is blocking it. You could see the old machine, but for whatever reason some kind of message about having a blank password keeps coming up. Is anyone else having this problem and how do you fix it? Thanks!

what yoiu are getting is not a blank password but a zero length password.

Sounds like one of the annoying security checks in Vista. There is a way to turn it off though. Go to PC World's web site and search for it.
