This link - to an article at CNN this morning (Sunday) - tells how US leaders wish to expand the military numbers, to over half a million bodies, by 2012...macho, proud to be American, trained killers, to do the bidding of elected officials. If these folks survive their bloody duties, possible 'friendly fire', and the other horrors and atrocities they participate in, they then become repatriated citizens (in your neighborhood) at home.
Do you feel secure with this reality???

These numbers are very distressing. It shows that the United States is planning to occupy the Middle East for decades.
First hand, I've seen the consequences on people from the stresses of our occupation of Iraq. I think that many young people do not have the emotional depth to handle this stressful situation.
I do not feel that training 500,000 very young people to fight and having them return to the United States after their trauma is good for anyone. It's too bad we cannot train 500,000 young people to love each other.

Yes the cost of all wars is the repatriation of those who had to fight for those politicians. The demobbed military persons in the past have had to and the new demobbed will again have to fight for compensation and rehabilitation.
The United Nations is not worth the title of being a paper tiger. It is just that. Jobs for those who think they know the best, but don't do their best, as we speak and type on Q&A more wars are started and more refugees are created and more deaths among the civilian populations are the suffers, while they are fighting.
