Is the Democrat Congress's solutions radical or non-existent?

I thnk many on one side would say non-existent while those on the other will tout rhetoric, yet actions always speak louder than words. What is the intent of the speaker, when you wade through the garbage, what are they really saying.

Based on listening and researching actions in congress it is my belief that their solutions are extremely radical and their intent is gain power and control regardless of the cost. If you recall pelosi prior to the elections she used the phrase "when we control" excessively in her public comments, in reality she meant when she is control, and now her actions confirm that.

What is happening today is not about all of the rhetoric you see in the MSM, it is about war, war on the AMerican culture, a destruction of a society, all for the purpose of control............and that seems pretty radical to me.

Liberals are the enemy within.They want to take away our money by higher taxes so we'll all be poor,our guns so we will be defenseless.They want to ban Christianity as far as possible to destroy the moral fiber of our society.It's also why they want to legalize and promote aberrations like gay relationships and even marriage They want to embolden and surrender to our worst enemies
And when we're all poor,defenseless ,defeated and chained to a socialist bureaucracy they can have their communist take over.That's what they really want

I beg to differ. We have a President who constantly touts that " they hate us for our freedoms", so he goes about taking away our freedoms, the very thing that they supposedly hate us for. The Military Commissions Act of 2006 which suspends Habaeus Corpus which is a direct violation of Article 1 Section 9 of the US Constitution. Contrary to what "the deluded" in this place believe, it is NOT aimed at foreigners, it is aimed at US citizens, who can be picked up thrown in jail, have NO access to a lawyer, can be accused with absolutely no evidence and you have no way of proving you are innocent.
In an attempt to restore the balance, it might seem that the pendulum for the Dems is swinging way to the left but consider some of the following:
The Minimum Wage Initiative
Under the Republican led Congress from 1995-2006, a request to just keep up with the cost of living for ordinary americans a minimum wage increase was denied 8 times. During that same period, the Congress voted along party line to INCREASE their pay 5 times.
Pay as you go
The Dems was to restore pay as you go, this would mean cuts in spending- not increased taxes. In some instances as much as I hate to say it, they might have to increase taxes for this reason ONLY. This President has borrowed more money that the last 42 COMBINED.
As of today 4/29/07 our country owes $8,821,785,276,420.30. This means every man woman and child in this country currently owes $29,236.09 on top of your own debts of house,car, credit cards. We can't just print money to pay it off. It would not be worth more than the paper it is printed on. So we are in debt up to our eyeballs so some of the very same countries we have been nasty to such as Mexico, France, Germany Turkey and India.
Iraq
The Dems want accountability of the way he has spent our tax dollars in this pre-emptive attack on Iraq. This is why the bill is the Iraq Accountability bill". You know a company you can work for that does not ask for you to be accountable to the boss? The boss just happens to be 'WE THE PEOPLE", or have you forgotten that since you have abdicated your responsibility to the nation?
If you know that company let me know, I'll go work there. I won't have to tell the boss what I did with his money, or why I am not doing what he wanted. We already have over $9 billion missing, now there is a few billion more that has been lost to shoddy construction by US companies. The bill that was past has benchmarks and deadlines that the Iraqi government needs to meet. If this kind of lackadasical crap was taking place here in the US, people would be up in arms. the bill includes MORE money for training our 18 year olds who are continually being shot at and blown up by an increasing populace that wants us to the out of their country.
It includes MORE money for reinforced vehicles that can withstand an IED attack. The timeline is noted in the bill as a goal- it is NOT SET IN STONE despite what the White House tries to portray it as. Bush has not been held accountable to the very people who employed him. He is not King.
Training Iraqi soldiers is NO LONGER A PRIORITY!!!! HUH!!! So why are we still there? When do we hope to "stand down when they stand up!"? never?
Al Maliki stopped the US troops from going after Al Sadr's militia, the Iraq govt has done absolutely nothing on oil revenue sharing, planning June provincial elections, political reconciliation, militia control, full army control. All they do is sit on their butts while our soldiers continue to take the hits.

This nation was created on the basis of separate BUT equal branches of government.
Despite the behavior of the previous Congress, the legislative part of our government was not designed by the Founding Fathers to just be a rubber stamp to the President. Checks and balances need to be put back in place. OOh so radical for the Congress to be actually doing its job instead of acting like a suppository to the Executive branch.
If you cannot get past the phrase "when we control", then how was it that you got past the following phrases-
"Osama- Wanted Dead or alive." Less than 6 months later " I don't know where he is. You know, I just don't spend that much time on him"
or
"We know where they are. They're in the area around Tikrit and Baghdad and east, west, south and north somewhat." So where the hell are they those WMDs.
