At least we're not Dolphin fans.
Taking AP was fine, to me. The only other option with that pick was to take Anderson, who went next, or Okoye who went a couple picks later.
If I'm in Cleveland today, I would be dancing in the streets. Not bad when you can end up with the best lineman and top 2 QBs in the draft and not having to really give up that much for it.
Edit: I think the bigger question is should they have taken Jarrett, instead of Rice at WR in the 2nd round? Jarrett is a winner and a playmaker.

Where we picked Peterson there was no one better than him. This also gives the vikings two really good running backs if they can stay healthy. You also have to remember our quarterback situation (not much experience). I think the vikings are going to take a lot of the pressure off of whom ever starts by running the football. Look what the chargers did with Phillip Rivers they took some of the load off his shoulders (until he received more confidence) and relied on L.T. but they also had Turner to take a little of the load off. So, I think we can expect the vikings to run the ball quite a bit this year and with what happened to Taylor towards the end of last season I think Peterson will be a great fit and pick.

As an upright type runner who does not initiate contact and is injury prone Peterson will not last through a 3rd season as a starting running back. Quinn was the obvious pick. None of the Vikings current QB's have both the mental and physical tools required to be a successful NFL QB. Childress ego does not allow for him to admit this. Grade D+

are you idiots serious being from minnesota and being a vikings fan for 26 years i know what are needs are, 1st every team needs 2 quality backs and adding the second or third best player in the draft at number seven is a steal, the collarbone will be fine by training camp, did you ever watch ap play in college? dummys if quinn was that solid why did he slip to22 duh, like sean salisburry would say no brainer you dont take Tavaris jackson in the second round last year to get another qb this year use your heads, thats why all the experts rate our draft as an A, learn something do some research before you talk garbage out of your mouth on this thing, we got a quality wr, de, and cb, also we addressed all of our needs plus mike doss is going to kill it in the secondary, please dont jump on the bandwagon later, haterz
