Gimp Sofware Help!!?

Question

this is what GImp gives me wheniever i try to save anything on Gimp.... So i pretty much cannot save anything which is a bad thing!! Any help?


Saving 'C:\Program Files\GIMPshop\bin\Untitled' failed:Unknown file type

First, whoever said Untitled should never be a file name is wrong. You can name your files anything you want, and if you want to leave it named Untitled, that is entirely up to you.

Sounds like you aren't giving the file a type to save as. Check the drop down arrow on the save as for file type and save it as something specific.

You'll like GIMP by the way, I use it constantly. Excellent program.

Before you hit the Save button, give the file a name and location.

"Untitled" isn't supposed to be used as a file name, ever!!!

Also, if you know the file type you want to save it as, i.e. .jpg, .bmp, .png, etc, just add the file extension to the name and Gimp will automatically store it in that format.
