1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2. 1 is left front (drivers side) of eng. odd # cyls on left, even # cyls on right side.

The firing order is 1 8 4 3 6 5 7 2 , that is due to the camshaft layout . the distributor cap however is set up with a crossfire pattern 1357 and 2468, (IT CANNOT BE SET UP WITH THE CONVENTIONAL CLOCKWISE ROTATION) If you examine the original or replacement cap you should see the wire positions are stamped at the desired positions.
