it would have to be very hot to beat a Bangalore chicken Phal from the heathrow tandoori in hounslow.(the chilli seeds would get stuck on the way out!!!!)

I once tried an Indian ultra hot curry!
It was like firing bullets down the toilet and gosh my rear end was blazing!
Indian curry....HOTTEST and GREATEST!!

It used to be the Habenero pepper. People have been working hard to create new kinds of peppers that are even hotter for a long time, with great success. The foods in the previous answers are already hotter than a sane person would need, but in a few months somebody will come up with something that's even hotter.

A recent report was made that a pepper from India call the Naga Jolokia is the hottest/spiciest edible pepper in the world. It measures 855,000 SHU
But the Dorset Naga pepper from England is said to measure 923,000 SHU.
Either one would be enough to blow my head off...lol

I don't know but we have this restaurant here it's called Cocoichiban, and they make curry, and you pick your level of spiciness 1-10, and I always get the 10, i know men that wont even eat a 5. but i don't think it's that spicy, or maybe i'm just immune to it. It's still pretty hot though, but I would like to know other peoples answers so i can try them.

Pure Capsaicin followed closely by police pepper spray, Scotch bonnet is about 5th on the list, check this out........

Phal is pretty good but Japanese wasabi sauce is pretty high on the Richter scale too.

there is a pepper that was grown in california that was 100 times hotter than a jalepino pepper. not sure what it's called, but maybe you should google it. : )
