The movie "The Secret" expains that clearly. We are creators and we can only create. Whether it is "worry" or"don't worry" our minds create worry. Another example"Don't think about pink elephants", what does your mind do?
As an alternative to a statement like "don't worry", a more constructive approach would be "expect things to work out well".

It is not exactly the worry increases. In few situations it might b so but not all the times. Wen people say don't Worry they try convincing and help us to overcome the fear or worry tat we have. They indirectly tell tat they are always available wen we need help or a shoulder to cry.

When we worry or go through stressful events the body has to "vent". Saying "Don't worry" is a way of coping through either rationalization or saying something to do the opposite.
