Because 80-90% of the postings are not legitimate "questions" anyway; just rants, slurs, insults, etc.
Looking for an intelligent question in this category of Answers is like digging through a dumpster for an unopened box of crackers. It's hardly worth the effort...not to mention the filth.
Also, there are several participants that maintain multiple identities, just to post MORE crap and feed their own insatiable egos.

Perhaps you are not looking hard enough. I will grant you that there is a fair amount of partisan crap in the Politics section, but there are also many honest well thought questions and answers. The problem is that even when someone asks a good question it is often lost in the silliness of many of the answers. You can elevate the debate though, even on the bad questions. This is accomplished by answering in an honest, intelligent and factual manner, no matter how ignorant the initial premise of the question might have been. Stay above the fray created by those who only wish to incite unnecessary rhetoric. In short, always take the high road. It may not be the easy route, but it has greater rewards in the end.

Yes I am getting bored of all the bullshit that people seem fixated on in the politics section. Liberals this and conservatives that. They would rather not talk about the wars that we are currently waging which if you ask me is the number one political point in the west today. Its all about the democrats and republicans and scoring points off of each other. Boring boring boring set of muppets.

Yes, Edward - I know where you are coming from!
The rants against "Libs" do get tiring really fast.
I never join in, and I find the many of same endless questions about the war in Iraq in the Military category about the same...

Perhaps it's not the intelligence of the questions, but the intelligence of the one seeking to answer that is lacking.

Few and far between, my friend.
Check out Finance and Military once in a while. But I would stay away from Religion board, if you think this one is bad.
