The definition of superficial is something on the surface.

The problem with a superficial person is that there is nothing on the inside, only a pretty container.

I don't consider myself superficial. I know what I am on the inside and that is all that should matter.

And yes, in case you wonder, I am considered very pretty.

But pretty is as pretty does, as the old saying goes.

Life is superficial. People cant reveal their true selves, because if you are trully honest, you leave yourself open to attack.
Life is one big poker game.

You only have to look at stars who have little choice about thier private lives being on show.

Who would want to live in a gold fish bowl anyway?

THE PROBLEM WITH BEING SUPERFICIAL IS THAT PEOPLE FORGET WHAT'S IMPORTANT. PERSONALITY, VALUES, ETC. BUT IF YOU ARE AWARE THAT YOU ARE BEING SUPERFICIAL I SEE NO WRONG IN IT. EVERYONE IS SUPERFICIAL WHEN YOU THINK ABOUT IT. PEOPLE WOULD PREFER TO BE WITH A GOOD LOOKING PERSON WITH LOADS OF MONEY AND AN EDUCATION IF THEY HAD THE SAME PERSONALITY! I WOULD. IS THAT REALLY SO BAD OF ME?

To me, superficial people seem unintelligent and have nothing to talk about. Not a great person to be around!

I think to be truly happy in life you have to be true to yourself. Don't pretend to be something or someone that you aren't. So if being superficial is true to yourself and you aren't hurting anybody else, go for it!
