1+1 = 0 (mod 1) So your answer will depend on what type of math you are working on. In modular arithmetic, the answer is the remainder when you divide by whatever number you are "modding" out by. So 1+1 usually equals 2 except that, since 2 can be divided evenly by 1, the remainder in this case is 0 and so 1 + 1 = 0 (mod 1).
Similarly, 3+2 = 1 (mod 4) because we have a remainder of 1 when dividing 5 by 4.

if what you do want to add them are identical things then the answer will be two , however everything in nature is Unique so you cant simply say the answer is 2 ..
