Ignorance is bliss. I would rather be ignorant, but since I'm a congnizant being, I have to accept that the more you know, the more painful life can become. When Eve ate the fruit, it was the fruit of knowledge. Knowledge is what makes the world scary, and it's the reason Eden or paradise can never exist. So yes, ignorance would be preferable to knowing all there is to know about the evil acts of which humanity is capable.

I prefer living in knowledge because ignorance can be very costly and leads to many mistakes. The pursuit of knowledge though should be tempered and focused on what is really essential and important. Information overload in this day and age is a sad but avoidable reality. Furthermore, I would like to say that we can never "know enough", we should never stop learning until our dying moment. Knowledge is wealth, and although ignorance is folly, it is the fuel that drives the search for knowledge. Having said all that, there is something infinitely better than MUCH KNOWLEDGE. It is TRUE WISDOM - and a truly wise man knows that there is much he is ignorant about and goes about seeking the truth about things that really matter.

I prefer having knowledge. I have a curiosity about life and things around me. On the other hand, some of the happiest people I have met seem to be the least educated. I think having a lot of knowledge can be frustrating, at times. If you are ignorant, you don't know what you could be missing. If you have knowledge you do. That in itself could be frustrating.

Being happy is caused by the way of living.

Exactly.
Ignorance or Knowledge.

IGNORANCE
The meditations, guru, masters are trying to tell the whole world to be detached to the world, meaning to live in ignorance. They feel that as long as they are ignorant, they feel the nothingness and reach the enlightenment.

KNOWLEDGE
We are taught to obtain knowledge through education. As much knowledge as we learn, we feel that we lose more and more.Happiness keep coming when we are losing more and more or getting more and more?

For me, personally, i think either way will lead you to achieve happiness. But only living in ignorance can achieve highest self realization in this reality.

You've hear that "ignorance is bliss".

Well it is in some ways. But the more you know, the more you know.

Knowledge of self is what is important. Through that, you can know the whole universe and understand it and others.

Look inside and you will be surprised what you will find. Ask yourself, "who am I?" until you find the answer. Then you will understand why ignorance is bliss.

Knowledge is sublime, which is better any day than bliss because it contains bliss (ignorance) too.

As for me, i would be happier living in knowledge. But, there are some individuals for whom a little knowledge is dangerous, they better be left in ignorance. In general it depends on a person's willingness for acceptance of the knowledge

Ignorance is bliss indeed. When you are an ignorant the fisrt thing you don't know is that you are an ignorant. So you are happy.
It is only when you start knowing things that you understand the extend of your ignorance and that can make you unhappy.
Of course there are many other things (like love) that can make one happy regardless of ignorance and knowledge.

If I had a choice then it would be living in ignorance. Its better that
we are satisfied and happy in doing what we want and need instead of pursuing some extra knowledge.

Now if it was possible to attain a state wherin we could possess
all the knowledge of the universe , only then can we find true happiness and satisfaction.Practically this is impossible so i would rather choose ignorance to partial knowledge........ ;)

Knowledge...
Some people say an ignorance is a blessing... I say yes, a blessing - of a shallow mind or a person without passion, or someone who lost his/her spirit!
Knowledge and to be more specific the way to get knowledge we desire is an essence of our life (no meaning of life though)...
That way is a happiness
