A podcast is basically a radio show, but is pre-recorded and broadcasted to people throughout the internet.

People can talk about anything on a podcast, such as: sports, music...etc...

The word ''podcast'' came from iPod in which the idea for a podcast was started. These radio shows were basically designed for people with iPods. But podcasts do not have to be played through iPods.
