Get your facts straight. i. Peurto Rico is not a country, but rather a teritory. ii. The US spends much more on Peurto Rico than it gets in return. Where do you think all of its money comes from if it pays no taxes? iii. Peurto Rico has been offered statehood, but rejected it because it feared that statehood would cause it to lose its "latino heritage." iv. Again, I repeat the point Peurto Rico is poor as heck. It is actually a burden on the US. And lastly, who do you think benefits from speaking Spanish, not paying any federal taxes, having citizenship and having the benefits of the US economy - America or Puerto Rico?? ps. You might want to start getting your information from a more reliable source - like an academic journal that is peer reviewed.

You are not asking a question you are stating your opinion

This GREAT country is based on immigrants. Most People in the USA have a mixed immigrant background. I am Polish , Irish and Chec. The USA has for hundreds of years taken in people from other countries for many reasons. I welcome ANY person who comes to this country LEGALLY. If you sneak across the boarded at night you have NO RIGHTS. Criminals in jail do not have the rights of a free person and neither do criminals who come here illegally.

it's the same story across the western world. the history of the world is dripping in the blood of conquered people, why should it be different now? I don't know why people hate, I don't know why we can't just get along. Owen Wilson, the actor famously derided the Dalai Lama for saying that the answer to world hunger is sharing. Wilson, who I really like as an actor, though this was too simplistic. well the answer is simple. share, love, care, don't kill, do unto others as you would like them to do unto you....I'm not religious but it really is that simple........peace

this is very true. the English europeans came over here to escape persecution from their own country...and in turn they persecuted "lesser" people while in their plight for justice and independence.

smell the irony?

whiping out a huge portion of the native american race...gave them land then took it away and sent them on a death march...literally. ppl should really do their research. if you're living in america and you dont know this - please leave. you're a dumbass.

The immigrants you are talking came here legally. They didn't just jump the fence. We have nothing against legal immigrants.
