Hi there i have just got a computer a packard bell model A720 and the speakers on the side are not working it is second hand but the lady i got it off says the worked with her.
the guy in the computer shop says that i need a disk to put in the tower to install, but that i can also download of the net to do it.
it says diamond audio technology on the speakers if that helps.
My problem is does anybody know how and where i can get this.
theres lots i can't do because of this.

but could i get a step by step on how to do this please. also do i have to pay for the drivers etc or download for free.

thanks i have just looked to see what sound card i had to see what drivers to install and just found out that it says no sound card installed. which i can't believe i take it that goes in the tower.
so what can i do now and what sound card is the best to get.
sorry about all the added stuff really not got a clue.

Your audio drivers may be missing.
Go to the Packard Bell web site and get all the motherboard drivers.

your sound card drivers are probably not installed.. most speakers don't usually require a cd to work.. all you have to do is just plug it in to ur CPU.. so the problem could be just in the sound card...try going to Start>Control Panel>Add new hardware to see if there are any hardwares available but not yet installed into ur system...if windows can't find the driver for this hardware...try contacting the seller of ur PC and ask what sound cards are placed on your CPU so you will know what drivers to download.... you can download drivers at these websites...

Ok download Belarc advisor, it's free and a quick easy way to get the infor you need for you system.
then go to the manufacturer's website and download the drivers for everything.
