Use the symbol ^.
The no. before it is considered as the base and the no. after it is the exponent.
eg
2^3 = 2 cube = 8
3^2 = 3 square = 9

u can do it in micro words as in -
for ex : 11 squared = 11 2
then select 2 and then right click on it
when u get the list then click on 'fonts'
there'll be size, color .....
but below u can see there's a column for subscipt or superscript .... and all that
just click on the necessary one and then thats is

(x^2)^11 would be one option
If you wanted it as x^(2^11) that would be a way of doing it.
