A place where people try to make ends meet in a world that thrives on wealth. People who are doing the best they can for there family. Maybe working 3 jobs at once.
The bad side is the only side they glorify. Why? Because its fun to make poor people look bad. The drugs, the drug dealers, the girl with four kids at the age of 16, loud, drive by shootings, and gangs.
That's the only side rappers, and the media, want to show. So that is what the people believe.

At this point, just another trend/style. Nothing any 'deeper' than that. Anyone can act 'Ghetto' these days just like anyone can dress up and act like a 'punk' or 'prep'.

Basically ppl who resort to cheap/creative ideas to make up for lack of money or that dont feel like they gotta act "high class". it dont gotta be gangsta its just a lotta them are ghetto.
