Wait for a day more...if there is no improvement, then visit a good ophthalmologist immediately.Sometimes if the injury is too great, then it is likely to displace fluid from behing the eye, which can be potentially dangerous. But don't worry...a football won't do much harm...have been hit several times!

I've never been hit in the eye before but it sounds like it could be bruised. The only way to find out for sure is to see your dr to have them evaluate the situation.

Go to the optometrist now!! You could have nerve damage that they could have done something about if you had gone the same day! My niece was hit with a baseball bat when she was 2, and it was in the eye. It almost killed her, she had a hemorrhage. thank heaven they went straight to the hospital.

There's a very strong possibility that your dog will now lose its eye due to your neglect. You should have taken her to the vet when this first happened. How could you sit back and do nothing when your dog is suffering?

my brother was kicked in the eye, and had to have surgery to repair a cracked orbital bone. if you are having double vision, or other sight problems, go see the doctor (no pun intended). in his case, the muscle of the eye was being caught in the crack, causing double vision. ew!

It happens all the time. Put ice on it, blurry vision is probably from the swelling. If it continues see a doctor.
