Im in highschool and one of the few ppl who donut drink, smoke, or have sex. And all my friends do. Would i be considered to be "straightedge"? And what do people think of straightedge people?
P.S. I'm not scene or punk or stoner...none of that....im more of a mix of gangster prep? idk...just as long as u know im NOT one of them rockers...

well yeah technically you would be sXe (straightedge) but most are not preps most are punks or emos...and sXe is usually associated with punk music...i think because the band minor threat came up with it.
im straightedge too and people could call me emo and i like punk music and stuff
as for what people think of us....alot of people think that straightedgers have no fun and are a bunch of sises but thats totally not true...
how are we not having fun when those stoners could die? i dont think they think its fun to die
also i forgot to add that straightedgers arent just people who dont do it, but they are against it
if u asked me if i thought u were straightedge...i'd agree with the person above me...and i would say no, but thats just me

Since sXe is/was considered a 'subculture' which was usually associated with an underground music and political scene, I don't think you're considered 'straight edge'. You're just a kid that doesn't drink, do drugs or have sex. You could call yourself sXe but it's putting a label on yourself which isn't really necessary unless you are trying to make some sort of statement.
