I think the woman should have a say because women work much better when they like the man they are working for.
Also, women would be much more likely to stay loyal and obedient to their husband if they loved him.
Although, fathers do know what is best for their daughter and would probably make a good decision.
I am so glad my daddy likes you Sandy!
XOXO

I think the father should decide. He will pick an appropriate man for the daughter to marry. In order for a marriage to work two people must have things in common. I think the father, being the head of the household would know best who would be appropriate for his daughter. He would pick a man who has the same beliefs, values, and background.

It is nice if your Father approves of your choice, but in our Country, not necessary.
Many parts of the world, it is still a custom, that the husband is chosen by the Father.

Women should have a 100% say. Of course I would listen to my Dad's opinion on my choice of partner but at the end of the day it would be my choice.

I aqm glad I had a choice and I am even happier that my Father got a chance to approve of his proposal before my father passed on. I am not sure I could have married someone my father did not approve of.

Here in the US, it's usually up to the individuals who choose to marry. I figure that's probably best, as then the marriage will be more likely to succeed.

where is this going on ?

i personally think that women have not as yet got their right place in their societies worldwide and still suffer male chauvinism and unfairness, unfortunately !
