pls help me...my monitor only has 16 colors...its broken

Your monitor, I can almost guarantee, is not broken. It would have to 15 years old to only support 16 colors. The problem is your graphics adapter ( your video card). Do one of the following:
1. Right-click your desktop. Click "Properties". Click the "Settings" tab. Click the "Color Quality" box and select "Highest ( 32 bit )". Click Apply.
2. Find out who manufactured your video card and go to their website. Download and install the driver. Then restart your computer.
Anyway, most should run in 16 colors, except for GBA games, because most Gameboy Color games were designed to be backwards-compatible with the original Gameboy. Just set the emulation type to "Gameboy" instead of "Gameboy Color".
