if your water smells like sulphur , then you have sulphur water. that simple. you must live in the country with a deep well,. it makes good coffee. and it will not hurt you, but if you dont like the smell, call a water softener person. they can install water softener , which you probably need anyhow . then you just add a small amount of bleach to the salt tank every so often. i think a month, not sure. i did it for years. it may not take it all away. course, i could be wrong, but i dont think so. oh. in my opinion, you could rent a softener instead of buying one. then they do all the work. best bet.

This may be from the magnesium rod in your water heater. How old is the water heater? when the rod, used to keep the water heater from corroding out to fast, wears out it gives off a smell unlike sulfur. This may be the odor your smelling, especially if the water is hot, it seems to make it worse.
There's little you can do to prevent this except replace the rod or put in a plug but, these are very hard to do as time has almost certainly corroded them in and this makes it impossible to change.
If your insistent on changing it hire a plumber but have him put in a plug.

"Hey, Culligan man!"
Simply installing a point purifier (a filter on you kitchen faucet) will not get rid of the smell in the shower and else where.
Most of the point purifiers son't get rid of the smell anyway. They just take out particles but don't change the chemistry of the water. You need to get rid of the dissolved hydrogen sulfide (H2S) gas.
A whole house system is your best choice but they can be expensive. The kind that you put salt in to get rid of much of the hard water characteristics do not 100% get rid of the sulphur smell depending on the amount of H2S is in the water.
Search for a system that GUARANTEES to remove H2S.

Is it the hot water only that smells? There is a rod inside your water heater that helps fight corrosion. Remove this rod and the smell will disappear over a few weeks.

i desire this negative scent stops you from ever smoking ? attempt establishing a window somewhat interior the front room this may draw the smoke out keep your door closed in any respect circumstances to end the scent penetrating into your room and also go away a window in there open in case you are able to to air your room end burning a candle you would possibly want to imagine it smells constructive yet those too provide out smoke noticeably even as they flow out
