What is your most hated Wikipedia editing encounter?
I was a fan of the Videogame samurai Showdown. I found it cool that each of it's series and each of it's characters had their own article but one day one stupid loser merged and summarazied all articles and I was so mad that if I met the person who edited that on public...I will beat the crap out of him....

Any Wikipedia stories you can share.

Samurai Shodown [sic] is a cool game! Though I don't get filled with rage if some 10 year old kid wants to vandalise. Though I see your point in summarising them, because each game was unique.

I hope this helps,

Pat.

Anyone who trust solely in an information source that can be edited by anybody show lack of common sense. While the idea is good - sharing and accumulating knowledge, it was obvious from the start that abuse will occur very quickly.

Not only that - even without the abuse, it can not be guaranteed that it is 100% accurate. I came across several topics that has blatantly wrong information on it. Sadly way too many people take such sites as the final authority and NOT search elsewhere.

I NEVER use it as a reference. If I ever go there - I make sure I cross reference with other, more authoritative sources.

Yes I agree with you and your experience. If you look, now a days people are not consulting books or authority they just refer Wikipedia, which is only a place of information which is not authentic according to my experience.

Once I notice about a language the information which was given their was incorrect and when I informed them they asked me to correct. So, any one can edit according to own choice.

Could Wikipedia or any recent Pedia take place of Encyclopedia or Authentic reliable information? Could they claim information provided is 100% correct?

Aloha from Down Unda!

Nope!
I certainly learned that it's sinful & wasteful to "hate".
Beating the key rap outta him is also wrong.
Please try to 'forgive'.
'Love' the opportunity to 'revise' your own ability to reacess.
