well you'll know kinda around when you may start.
have you started finding discharge in you underpants?
this can start happening a few weeks before.
most people i know felt moody, got headaches and stomach aches int he week they got their first one.
i guess the best advice i can give is carry around a small purse in ur pocket. and if you feel cramps and pain in your lower abdomen.. and a feeling... almost kinda like uve wet your pants. (sounds great aye) then ask the teacher if you can go to the bathroom.

You don't have to worry about it now cos you're only 13. Some girls have their period much later and it can be as late as 15. So you might just be one of those who'll start period late.

You'll probably sort of "feel" that your period is about to come when you experience Pre-Menstrural Syndrome or PMS. You'll feel that your breasts are a little sore and swollen, you might get a PMS zit or two, or when you feel a bit moody. It usually happens 10 to two weeks before period.

Well, alternatively, you can get a cute pouch to put your pads and tampons in and put it in your backpack or something.

Believe me everyone in the world at the age of 13 knows about periods so there is no reason to be emarrassed. You might keep a pad discretely packaged in your locker or backpack. Does your school have a dispensing machine?

Carrie tampons or pads in your backpack...and if you start your period in class ask to go to the bathroom.

Also, don't be afraid to tell your teacher that you have started your period. They will TOTALLY understand..believe me..

Hope I helped

When I was in school I carried pads in my backpack. As for telling the teachers you don't have to tell them if you don't want to hun. It's ok if you don't want to tell them.

As for starting your period, some girls don't start til they are 16 but it could be coming at any time. When I started my period I was at home and it was at night while I was trying to sleep.

Put them in your backpack or like a little pencil bag. You should carry a purse for these kinds of things. You are getting older and there is nothing wrong with it. =)

Keep one in you're book bag or keep something in your locker. I didn't even start till I was 15, so don't be too worried about it. I enjoyed not having that responsibility, I miss those days
