I dont know whether you believe it or not......they are the most stimulating points in man's body......try checking this thing, when you see yourself naked next time......just rub your hand on your chest around nipples and your will feel the pleasure.....It really works....Apart from this there is really no use...but the embryo juices that a baby's body soaks, comes out of these nipples points when baby (boy or girl) is small.....ther are very small pin sized holes in a baby boy's nipples, during massage a liquid comes out of it, if you have ever seen it...

I think all mammals have nipples. Male or female. Maybe, if all the females die the guys will have to take over.

Just Kidding. It likely shows that there is a common ancestor of mammals that developed nipples in both sexes. But, I don't know if there is a true purpose for this. Oh, yes and all embryos are female at one time, before the male parts show. So, they are an ode to the males past as a female I guess. I'm not sure nature is as definite about sexing us we would like to think. Males and females have more in common than different.

☼ besides all good stuff people above told you I’d mention one more reason;
both parents of first mammals fed their babies with milk; it was important at those days because they produced scant amounts of it; during evolution the mammal males lost this ability and females became more fertile;
some billy-goats can still produce milk and feed their kids provided their wives can’t – dead or gone to another billy;
▬ added ▬
don’t take seriously this stuff about a neutral fetus to a male or female; this is feminism; and feminism is politics – not biology; the sex of the fetus is defined from the very beginning; if the embryo has XX pair of chromosomes the baby will be a female; if the embryo has XY pair of chromosomes the baby will be a male;

i've got had swollen, sore nipples on the grounds that i began out puberty lower back final August. They stick out and reason lots of teasing and staring from people in lockerooms, at beaches, etc. I went to the healthcare specialist with my mom by using fact they have been so sore. like it painful to touch. when I have been given interior the place of work the healthcare specialist became squeezing them to be certain in the event that they have been contaminated yet they weren't. I in basic terms approximately cried out of discomfort, yet i did no longer say something even however he stored asking if he became hurting me. He stated that as quickly as you pass by puberty your hormones rage uncontrollably and each so often could be released in places you do no longer decide for them to be. He stated there isn't any therapy different than hormone reducing pills, that could desire to probable stunt my growth, so we agreed on "No" to that. i've got examine that that's assume to end after 6-8 months at maximum. that is been over a 365 days and nevertheless no longer something has replaced.

Great question, greatpara.... let me go and research this after I make my own hypothesis. My hypothesis is the following: apparently, we start out all as neutral beings inside the womb of our mothers. At a certain point, though... we either develop to become from a neutral fetus to a male or female fetus. I suppose that up to that point we all have nipples- or have it in our genes to develop them and depending on what you are before you are born- male or female.... these nipples will later on become full-fledged luscious breasts... or remain little tiny, lifeless wart like growths- as that of male nipples.

I have a book tittled why do men have nipples! (it's full of all kinds of health questions like this) It's because when all babies first start developing in the womb they are female so they develop nipples. If they are meant to be a boy they will develop their male organs in a later stage. it's pretty weird to think about.

In case you want to go thru a sex change operation - it is easy to insert implants but it is very difficult to manually create the nipples out front. That takes way too much work so guys come equipped just in case. However, if you want to remove them use a very sharp knife and don't cut too deep. Have lots of bandages available and be careful.

Something to pierce?
Something to break up the chest hair monotany?
To confuse people?

No, I actually believe it stems from the fact that when we are just zygotes in the womb (I'm talkin' VERY first stages of life), our chromosomes all begin as XX -technically female- and only later in our developement do the males convert into the XY chromosome pattern.

As most people have already stated it starts in the womb where everyone was female they then start changing later on. But it is possible for a male to lactate so that means that there is still a reason to have them. there have actually been reported cases where men have focused their mind on breast feeding their child that their breast have actually grown naturally to produce milk although it has only been one breast usually which to me sounds really freaky altogether.
