Live by example??????
Um the fact that hes guilding a greenhouse energy friendly projec tin his house, and has to pay more for his energy isnt example enough.
Its a work in progress but ultimately will benefit the environment.
This is nothing more than the false arguement of the day....ccan anyone say pelosi's plane request falicy?
You guys got to learn to stick with the facts, and stop trying to spin them to deter attention away from the real issue here.
A failed current president

LOL for the far loony left it is never about the messenger. They don't get the fact rational people tie the messenger to what they say.
Look at who they get to herald their "causes"
Cindy Sheehan: she disowned her son prior to him joining the military, this "caring mom" took three years to put a head stone on his grave and she uses him as a prop for her political gains.
John Kerry: the man is honored by the North Vietnamese as a 'Hero' in their fight against America. He denounced his service in the military, threw away his medals and testified that military personnel were murders and rapists. Yet he ran using his military record as a main reason to be President.
The Kennedy Family: using the fortune their grandfather made in moonshine and rum running (A crime) they made a political powerhouse. The family is filled with womanizers, have been involved with rapes, murder, drugs, DUI's and corruption.
Many in the far left honor Che Guerra, the man was a murderer and a torturer.
So it really is no surprise they ignore the fact that Gore is their champion while he does not actually support his own causes or claims.
My favorite metaphor about this topic goes as follows. You can have the Best Fillet mignon, put the finest side dishes with it and pull out the best bottle of wine, but if you serve it on a dirty trashcan lid and pour the wine in a used dog food bowl what reasonable person would eat it?
For most of us the presentation is as important as the thing we are being served. The far Left is far less picky.
Gore does not care one bit about his message and will never actually back his play because he is only in it for the money and fame, and he knows the people who honor him would never question him and will denounce the rest of us as “ignorant”.

regardless of political party, Al Gore is a schmuck!
Complains about the environment while owning a zinc mine, and using more electricity in a month than a total city. As for his plane issues, tell him to fly southwest like the rest of us poor folk. That would change his ideals!

been working all the live long day.
but sounds like something about Al Gore flying in plane that is not loaded ....nuts to butts.
and what kind of environmentalist is he.
and I smell hypocrite...
c'mon.....he's on the road.
he needs room to breath and think and read and work and nap etc.
you can't really have the boss and the troops in close quarters... a crowded aircraft for example.

the theory is physically powerful, yet he'd be the incorrect decision, for a pair of reasons. One, having been bill's vice chairman, the Obama faction ought to no longer see him as a "compromise" in any respect. it is going to take somebody no longer even perceived as linked to the two faction. 2, he's perceived as patently insane by potential of many moderates, and maximum Conservatives. He won't be able to win. they're going to choose a popularity maximum people do no longer comprehend precise now.

Pollution and conservation is a real issue, regardless of whether global warming is caused by the sun, or by what humans have been doing! But, I am honestly unsure of Al Gore's true motives. The message may be good, but what is he REALLY trying to accomplish, and for whom is he trying to accomplish it? I have to agree with at least some of the points that Jenny is making. Anything that is costing the people more, and making money for the Elite, cannot be totally motivated by altruism! *sm*

Absolutely the wrong messenger and I think the message is tainted a bit by the messenger.
I think the message should be ways we can help conserve and preserve. I think we should be presented we options, ones that aren't going to cost us extra and make politicians money.
Bottom line is that humans have been hearing the message for decades, and many have changed their ways.
The CEI on Global Warming says this:
The earth’s atmosphere has actually cooled by 0.13° Celsius since 1979 according to highly accurate satellite-based atmospheric temperature measurements. By contrast, computer climate models predicted that the globe should have warmed by an easily detectable 0.4° C over the last fifteen years.
The scientific evidence argues against the existence of a greenhouse crisis, against the notion that realistic policies could achieve any meaningful climatic impact, and against the claim that we must act now if we are to reduce the greenhouse threat.
Current computer climate models are incapable of coupling the oceans and atmosphere; misrepresent the role of sea ice, snow caps, localized storms, and biological systems; and fail to account accurately for the effects of clouds.
Temperature records reveal that predictive models are off by a factor of two when applied retroactively in projecting the change in global temperature for this century.
The amount of warming from 1881 to 1993 is 0.54° C. Nearly 70 percent of the warming of the entire time period — 0.37° C —occurred in the first half of the record — before the period of the greatest buildup of greenhouse gases.
Accuracy in land-based measurements of global temperatures is frustrated by the dearth of stations, frequent station relocations, and changes in how ocean-going ships make measurements.
Although all of the greenhouse computer models predict that the greatest warming will occur in the Arctic region of the Northern Hemisphere, temperature records indicate that the Arctic has actually cooled by 0.88° C over the past fifty years.
Corrective environmental policies would have a minuscule impact on the climate. According to its own projections, the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change’s own plan would spare the earth only a few hundredths of a degree of warming by middle of the next century.
Most of the so called "greenhouse gasses" have natural sources; volcanoes, animal and plant respiration, and the oceans. The proponents of this greenhouse effect tell us that carbon dioxide is the main problem, and we should be spending billions of dollars trying to cut back on emissions from cars, factories, etc. According to governmental agencies, to cut back these emissions of twenty percent in the next ten years, we would have to spend about 100 billion dollars a year. And that would still leave one of the biggest polluters untouched; trees.
Yes, trees and plants only clean the air while they are growing. Once fully grown, they actually give off carbon dioxide! The carbon is incorporated into carbohydrate compounds and stored in plant tissue. When the trees and forests are fully grown, the Carbon Dioxide is released back into the air. Also, fallen leaves and branches give off Carbon Dioxide. That "haze" that makes the Smokey Mountains such a beautiful sight, is composed of natural compounds of which much of it is Carbon Dioxide.
Not to worry however, because carbon dioxide is not the main greenhouse gas that we have to worry about; water vapor is. But the environmentalists and the politicians can't do anything about it since it occurs naturally from evaporation, so they tell us that carbon dioxide is the problem. Keep in mind, that if we didn't have the small natural greenhouse effect that the water vapor gives us, the temperature on the Earth would be like that on Mars, where a warm day would be zero degrees!
Of all the Carbon Dioxide emissions into the atmosphere, 51 percent is from plants and trees, 45 percent from the oceans, and only three percent from the burning of fossil fuels!
Surprisingly, this much maligned "Greenhouse Gas" accounts for only 0.035 percent of our atmosphere. The real problem 'Greenhouse Gas" again, is actually water vapor, which accounts for about two percent of our atmosphere. However, it occurs naturally in our atmosphere, due to ocean and water evaporation, and since the global warming folks can't stop it, they ignore it and pick on the Carbon Dioxide instead. According to scientists with the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center, "Water Vapor is the predominant greenhouse gas, and plays a crucial role in the global climate system".

I'll tell ya what. I would rather have Gore telling me about global warming than Bush spending my tax money to invade a country that never attacked america. Sorry, but we were supposed to be in Afghanistan fighting terrorism, instead we are in another country that doesn't want us there, refereeing a civil war. Over 600,000 innocent iraqi civilians have died so far. Bush is the worst president there has ever been. Almost no one approves of him. The last 6 of his followers post on yahoo, and banter and bicker about dems. Im niether dem or rep...but bush has clearly failed at his job. He bankrupted 3 buisness in texas and he is about to bankrupt america with his "care free" spending...It is rediculous to rant and rave about stupid little insignificant things like that when we need to fix america.
