Deployment of U.s troops took place in 1963.
After the French left from Nam, America went in with advisers
trying to help S Viet Namese people .
Us. was welcomed by S Viet Nam, of course it was not welcomed by N VietNamese, who were supported by communists, and later proven that Chinese, were helping
N Viet Nam, eventually even taking active role in fighting against the U.s.,Coming down the Hoe Chi Mihn trail, in which many battles took place.
The French left after of years of fighting, and many losses,as did the Us, in 1975.
In the beginning the advisers were being killed by N viet Namese, therefore the Us sent in troops to protect them..
When soldiers started getting killed, the war started.
It was never declared a war, it was called a military action.
After suppodely helping the S Viet Namese to be able to fend for themselves, the U.s.troops left (actually ran out),
leaving S Viet Nam to the mercy of the communist N Viet Nam.
S, Viet Nam was quickly overcome by N Viet Nam...
Killing and slaughtering probably millions of S, Viet Namese..
Somethig like whats going on now in Iraq, as far as eventually The U.s. getting out of there with possibly the same results...total killed in Nam.Us. troops, about 69000.
hope it helps.

The Government of the Republic of Vietnam (South Vietnam) or in Viet, Nha Nuoc Viet Nam Cong Hoa openly accepted the Americans. However, many were left pondering why the U.S didn't commit fully. Nowadays, the overseas community (Viet Kieu/Hai Ngoai) are mainly ardent anti-Communist communities bound to overthrow the dictatorial tyranny of nowadays. Of course I am an anti-communist, thus give my views. Being part of the third generation overseas monority, it is with such melancholic thoughts that the people are still under such tyranny. DOWN WITH COMMUNISM

ok basically the info, first there became no Vietnam conflict in accordance to government information. It became a conflict. The U.S. in no way formally declared conflict on North Vietnam. The Vietnam conflict had 5 diverse presidents deliver troops in diverse capacities. First became Dwight D. Eisenhower, who despatched "advisers" to survey, practice and checklist returned on the conflict. a lot of those advisers died for the time of guerrilla operations. John Kennedy accompanied healthful with sixteen,000 "advisers" being in Vietnam and/or Southeast Asia on the time of his dying. LBJ, Richard Nixon and Gerald Ford have been the different 3 to deliver troops over there. Ford sending them to honestly execute our evacuation plan.

The South liked it, the North didn't like it, the American public turned against it. It was a civil war. When we left, the South felt abandoned. They were desperate and angry.

US: deployed troops to stop the spread of communism in Southeast Asia.
North Vietnam objected because they said they were in a civil war with the South, and no outside forces were welcome. (Of Course!!))
South Vietnam welcomed the support of the US. (Of course!!!)
