A long time ago I thought that love was something that you reserved for some special set of people that you had judged worthy of it.

After a while I got to thinking about what Jesus had said about turning the other cheek and loving our neighbor I put the two together and realized that he had made no exceptions in these statements. It became obvious to me that he intended that we exclude no one from the love that we are supposed to be giving. I started thinking about my idea of love and suddenly realized that I had not been loving anyone at all. I had simply been judging everyone and every thing.

Judging someone worthy of love is not love, it is only judgment. I actually started to cry when I realized this. I saw just how much of my life I had wasted being judgmental, thinking of myself as a Christian, when I was actually doing just the opposite of what Jesus had asked us to do.

I thought about the verse judge not lest ye be judged, and I understood it for the first time.

I realized that I have a lot of catching up to do. So many opportunities were wasted. I now try to apply the love that I have for the world in a universal way like Jesus asks us to do.

If I start to feel afraid and think that I see someone that I should not love because of something I have thought or heard I try to catch my mistake as soon as possible. I tell myself that I have forgot the truth and have fallen for the same old trick that had cost me so many opportunities to be loving in the past. The horror of this realization is often all that is necessary to bring me back to my senses and make me drop the judgmental nonsense I was thinking.

I still have a lot to learn about love, but at least I’m making progress.

Love and blessings

First ill play the realist

Love- noun: a profoundly tender, passionate affection for another person.

But not who i really am. Love is undescriable, words truly cannot describe the way in which you feel. The closest ive heard are these several quotes:

Love has nothing to do with what you are expecting to get, it's what you are expected to give -- which is everything.

Immature love says: 'I love you because I need you.' Mature love says 'I need you because I love you.

At the touch of love everyone becomes a poet.

In the absence of love, there is nothing worth fighting for.

The more straight forward things needed for love: trust, honesty, openess, sympathy, knowing youll do anything for that person, a healthy mix of similiarties and differences, courage, the ability fight through anything

Love is the most outstanding feeling in this world. It can neither be explained nor avoided. It happens when you avoid it the most.It often gasps you as an incognito! you dont understand whether to feel elated or sad. When you want to be with someone and that person denies you feel the end of the world.
This is love which can neither be defined and nor explained.
But certainly it is the most impeccable feeling possible on this human planet.
And love is not just between a boy and a girl.It is between every human alive on earth. We love our parents, friends, god and every single existence on this earth.Just the level and degrees differ.
So one should always be in love not just with oneself but everyone to keep humanity alive and existant on this earth and not jeopardize human existence.

Love is our inward feeling. This feeling teach you to- laugh, cry, good behave, make you feel happy and at the same time make you feel bad. Love change a person may be in wrong side may be in positive side, that can't be say. Always an expectation pinching you. We need more from our loved ones. Love makes you Carey, responsible, excited.
There is no perfect definition of love actually, like we can't defined "GOD", like as we can't define "LOVE" also.

try not to define it...it wud be a waste of time...love is not an abc or 123...it is far more simpler than that, yet far more complicated than u may think...or i shud say...mind cannot and will never understand IT..Love is too obvious and is being use degradingly ever since the world begun...everybody were all trying to elaborate it in so many millions of ways..thinking they can arrive at it correctly yet, everybody failed!
so, love - is not something to talk about...it is for u to discover and when u found it...u will be a winner..and it wud mean that u r no longer just an ordinary person!!! got it??? cheers!!!

People in this world and in the present generation think that love can be given or can be exhibhited only to the one they like to live with as a partner.
But love can be given to anyone, even to a dog or a puppy.
Hence love has no end or no qualifications.

Love = purpose. Love is the ability to care about a human being despite one's imperfections. To be there for someone despite them insulting you. To appreciate there being. To be sad if you lost them. To be thankful for them. To always want to be around them. Love is family friends and God. Love is everything. Love is sacrifice. Love is the point in existence. Without love the world has no point. It is the purpose of everything.
