Don't listen to Parasmichal... he doesn't know the Revolutionary War from the Civil War.
The American Revolutionary War was the war for American independence from Great Britain. It formally began with the signing of the Declaration of Independence, July 4th, 1776. When it ended in 1783, we officially became the United States of America.

Which Revolutionary War? There have been so many. It's pompous to believe that the one you are thinking about is the only one. Apart from the Third World where it has happened regularly, France Had a whopper, Russia had a big one, America's was small in comparison.

Revolutionary or civil war? A good case can be made that the American Revolution was our first civil war. Statistics seem to indicate that on any given day one third of the eligible male population fought for America, a third fought for the Briitsh and one third stayed home (Don't bother me!).

the revolutionary war had nothing to do with G.Washington, it started after the slaves were freed by A.LIncoln.
It was between north & south states or confederate states.
The two generals were U.S Grant for the north, and R.e. Lee for the south..Even though Grant was outclassed by Lee,
Grant made better commnd decisions, and eventually the north won...Most of the battles took place in the north eastern states, eventually going south, and one of the last battles took palce in Atlanta Geongia,One of the biggest cities of the south ,and possibly the capital of the southern states..
Gone with the Wind is probably a good, and informative movie to watch based on that war.....
