It depends on how much older. If there is an entire generation gap, then you may have problems. Trust me, I know. I prefer older men, but after a while our differences can get in the way of our similarities. Think about the possibilities. Every relationship ends somewhere. either in breakup, marriage or long term commitment. Can you really see a future with someone of another generation? And if you ever had kids would people see you together and think "Gee what a cute family; it was so nice of the grandparent to take the kids out today. " lol

Dr. Laura wouldn't approve...
But usually the disapproval has to do with some psychological pathology such as "a mate who can be controlled" or the obverse "seeking a father figure". Of course she is married to a much older man so I guess if ages are just numbers and there are no other problem areas just have fun.

As I read so many historical books, the authors are always much older than me. If I like their books, I read them.
I also tell myself that age by itself does not matter, as long as you and the other person are compatible.

If your dating him is legal I'd advise you to be honest with him about how you feel. If he feels the same go for. Age is naught but a number.
