There are four rankings on the Tornado foosball tour: Amateur, Semi-Pro, Pro, and Master. When players enter a tournament, they are allowed to play in events for their class and above, but not below. So a Semi-Pro can play in Open events, Pro events, and Semi-Pro events, but not in Amateur events.

So to answer your question, if someone claims they are ranked Semi-Pro on the foosball tour then
a) they are probably telling the truth and
b) it's not as impressive as it sounds.

No, but I have partnered several years ago with a young man in the bars of Marquette Michigan. He was good enough to keep us drinking all night for free and could beat anybody, either singles or pairs didn't matter. When we partnered, my job was to block anything that got through him. I mostly just stood there, watched and drank free beer. He was without a doubt the best most consistant player I have ever seen.

I met Ryan Braun this year at a downtown Milwaukee restrurant. He was sitting in the table next to us, and had no problem turning around to talk a little, and of couse autograph. Really down to earth, especially when the conversation wasn't about baseball. just a normal guy.

Actually, yes. He was shacking up in a Motel 6 during a filming of a movie about the sport, I forget the name of it.

Yeah, and the funny thing is their legs are fused together too. When they walk they use their hands. They look like tripods.
