I never never touch the screen with my hands,and last night i grabbed my laptop with my thumb on the screen and it cracked. half the screen is covered in colored lines.

It depends on what part number you need. Most screens cost between 3 and 5 hundred dollars American.

When I needed new hingles for my Dell Latitude laptop, I learned that Dell does not sell individual parts for the screen half of a laptop. They will only sell you the entire top half as a kit. You may want to check this with whichever company made your laptop.

If you think you can do it yourself, check out ebay for some good deals on the screen you need. I've seen them countless times. If only shipping didn't cost so blasted much...
