Why do liberals and socialist cry about the rich/poor gap...?

yet aren't willing to lead by example by giving up most of their comforts to help those in need? Like some of the answerers on this link.

Some of them don't need all that money....or such a nice big house, or the extra vehicles to survive while others suffer! If they preach it, they should donate all that they don't need to get by with, becase they just look like hypocrites, trying to be humanitarians! Seems to me the only ones pushing for socialism are the ones that need it, the lower class; or the ones that live good comfortable lives and wouldn't feel the tax burden that welfare and other social programs put on the middle class, they do nothing but preach so as to sound like good, giving, compassionate wealthy people! Not donating most of their excess wealth, basically makes them fiscally conservative. Which is the right choice btw! Socialism and wealth redistribution is a joke!

If what you say is true Kelly, then you are the exception, and I commend you for doing so. More people should give to charity more often. I just don't like to be forced into giving through taxation. I'll donate when, where and how much on my own!

If rich people do not wish to give, then that is their choice. It is criminal to TAKE from one that has worked hard and earned it, to give to another, no matter the circumstances. That is basically theft committed by our government and infringes upon our pursuit of life liberty and happiness!

I always thought the liberals were hipocrites. They whine and complain about corporations, big business, unfair taxes on the poor compared to the rich, etc.... but let's examine some of THEIR lifestyles!

You take Ted Kennedy. Have you ever tried to get near his mansion in Massachusetts? They have armed guards at a gate in the front, and it's bolted down like Ft. Knox. It's a really ritzy place. But yet, Ted is for the "poor". Really? How much of his personal wealth is spent to relieve the suffering of the poor? None!

What about Sen. Edwards and his $400 haircut? I can barely afford a $10 haircut! He said recently, "I have lived a life of privilege, and it helps me to convey a message that every American is entitled to gain wealth in this country." Horsepucky! When we have jobs that don't pay, taxes that are too high, fuel that is too high, food that is too high, housing that is too high, and no way to make ends meet, how can we be rich like him? No one is going to give us a salary like he draws! The middle class has practically been eliminated from this country. Not all of us can achieve this "wealth" that he describes, because that comes to the chosen few.

What about Nancy Pelosi? She can afford to shuttle herself and her family back and forth across the country on aircraft and spend taxpayers money like it's going out of style. How is that setting an example? Who paid for her illegal trip to Syria? The American taxpayer, that's who!

How about Al Gore? Who pays for that aircraft and fuel he trots all over the world in? Do I have a private aircraft? No. Does Al Gore give of his wealth to help the wretched poor? Of course not!

Hillary Clinton.......do you honestly think that self-righteous, self-serving egotist cares one iota for the poor? C'mon! She got her money as a corrupt lawyer, and so did her old man. She's never spent a single moment in poverty, neither did she lack anything in life. You don't go to law school by being broke!

Socialism wants redistribution of wealth.......but that does not apply to THEIR wealth, only ours, if you want to call our mere incomes "wealth".

The question isn't really whether or not some of the rich libs donate... and please... where did you get that Bill Gates is a lib people? He is after all... a big bad corporate America guy. The question is why so much class envy? And Kelly... there are a lot of people on both sides that give and that are selfish... but it is the Libs that always cry class envy. The leaders of the lib party always play on it because everyone likes to pick on the people that succeed. It is the major hypocrisy that bothers most when a moron like John Kerry tries to wave the banner yet in 2003 he only gave a little over $200.00 to charity. Don't push an agenda you can't hold true to yourself.

Besides... what if you become very successful one day. Are you ready to fit most the bill for all these social programs that are mainly ineffective... or would you rather have choice and control to do good things with your money as you see fit?

Thank you! Apparently these babies that don't have a chance to live are a bigger problem and a threat to mankind because of "overpopulation." They know it's wrong. They know that something is a living thing if it bleeds, if it has a heartbeat, if it cries when being pulled apart by a vaccum, if it fights being pulled apart. They know that it's an unborn baby, not a "fetus", a word used by liberals to desensitize people towards infant murder. There were 3000 people killed in 9/11 but what people don't realize is that 9/11 happens everyday in the world of abortion in the US. Many people don't care, many women don't care because they are so selfish that they'd go to lengths of murder just to keep something from inconveniencing them. If they were mature enough to be having sex then they should be responsible enough to raise a child and deal with the consequeces that THEY created. I'm sick of selfish women who say "It's my body, I'll do what I want with it." but it's not their body, it's the childs body. Can you be boy and girl at the same time? No, so how does a woman who's pregnant with a little boy say "it's my body." Can a woman have two different blood types? No, so why does the baby have a different blood type than the mother? It's not her body to destroy, it's her mistake and she should deal with it like a real woman should.

Cause one tenth of the country has 90 percent of total wealth. Just cause someone has a nice house and a nice car doesn't mean anything. People get loans. Besides libs and socialist people aren't exactly that one tenth. Ceos and people like bill gates are those rich people but not the libs or socialist. Sure some might have like a million or half million and a nice car or house but they are not exactly earning 20 million plus a year.

it's really pretty simple... and if you look at the wealth distribution, it's not being done hardly at all...

in other words, as far as I'm concerned, you can have the mansion, the 10 sports cars... the pool... the island in the pacific you purchased...

but give some of it back... after you buy all those things

America has so much wealth, the extremely wealthy could give away much of what they have and not lose one bit of their comforts....

maybe I'm crazy... but I think gates and buffet have set great examples and if everyone followed them, America would truely have no poor...

They do not believe in personal responsibility; they believe that's the purpose of the gov't---to take care of people. Success is evil to them because it requires hard work, discipline and sacrifice...none of which are easy or quick fixes. It is the globalists and the elite and the money changers, all the same people, by the way, who created the gap in the first place. And they have done this intentionally! They created the private central bank, called the Federal Reserve so that they could take control of the money supply, and with control of the money supply, they are able to control all of us. It is a very complex issue, and deserving of extensive research by everyone. In order for the people to change things, and level the playing field, and take back our country, we have to all research and learn everything we possibly can. Knowledge is power! I do not earn that much money. Want to know why? Because my job is helping the mentally ill stay stable and be able to work in society.

Also, I spent my spare time volunteering on a suicide hotline, and I worked on Military bases during Christmas for Toys for Tots.

My husband and I donate to the VFW and Muscular Dystrophy every year and in 2006 we made $37,000 and have 3 teenagers!!!
Not to mention all the food drives we have donated our time to every other weekend!

EDIT: Please believe me when I tell you this to be true for our family! I live in a rural area and have grown up in a family that owned our own family style restaurant that had free meals to folks who needed it! No one was ever turned away....especially if they had children with them who needed it!
Believe me when I tell you this humanitarianism comes back to you!!!
When I was 13 we had a fire and one of our two family restaurants burned down with my Mother-sister&brother living in the upstairs apartment! This happened in the middle of the night on one of the coldest days in recorded WI history. It was like -40 and to make a long story as short as possible......my mom and siblings lived through the kindness of strangers and our local fire department and I have always lived my life giving back because it's the right thing to do!
Anything and everything we can do is the right thing to do!
This is how I choose to live!
I think you'd be surprised how many other people I have met through this work who are like minded ...just because!

There are more good people than bad.....sometimes ....most of the time actually there is just too much notariety in the bad things!
I have met 1000's of self-less giving people from all walks of life and from various income levels!

If they want us to conserve, they should lead by example. It is because they firmly believe that if we do as they wish we will fall in line and become good blind followers.
