what does a 3 angle valve job usually cost

Why don't you call several machine shops to find out?

My last one didn't cost any more. I didn't even ask for it, but the guy wasn't busy and he told me he put the 3 angle grind on it. You may not be as fortunate.

also, it may depend on how much other work they are doing for you. I had those guys shave the heads, and do a valve job on the heads, and magnaflux them, and check the valve spring pressures.
