I guess, I just forgot that you sometimes do this. I am going by my real name, but before my old account got terminated you may remember me by one of these three names...Ruby Lady, Pagan Princess, and Moon child was the most recent one!

Is it fun to pretend you are a heartless conservative? Do you think they can recognize themselves, when you hold a mirror in front of them? Do you think they have a clue how heartless they sound? Do you think they even care? They love to talk about Jesus, but they don't have a clue what he was really trying to teach! Do they have any idea that Jesus would be considered a left wing radical if he was here now? Do they have a clue that they hold ideals that are the exact opposite of the man they claim to want to emulate? *sm*

Your assuming that everyone is white, well educated, heterosexual and of an above average IQ. There are many people in society who are dependant on the government for reasons out of their own control, who can not take responsibility for their own lives- the mentally ill, physically disabled, the very young. A good public education system can break the cycles of poverty and crime that exist in every society. Many people can not afford things like private school and university that enable the wealther in society to be self reliant.

That said, most politicians are morons, that cause more problems than their worth. If only we all had a benevolent dictator like in Bhutan!

I agree with conebone

We have a government to solve some of the problems that us as individuals cannot resolve independently. I am an individual but I live in a society, and society's have to have a governing factor in order to exist and function, otherwise it is anarchy. Plus as long as I have the gonvernment looking over my shoulder and monitoring my phone calls I can't live my life to the fullest without having to wonder when they are going to come knocking on my door. If they put me through hell I am going to hold them responsible for part of my problems. Until they are out of my life and not hovering above my head every waking moment I want to make sure that they earn the money that I pay into taxes

Very loaded question. It is like asking - have you stopped having sex with your sister?

Majority of people take personal responsibility for their lives. One can not possibly be self-reliant and be independent of a government for all the issues. For example can you build roads? No, gov. department does it for you. Can you make sure planes do not collide in mid air? No, FAA does it for you. Can you make sure drugs that you are buying are safe? Hell no, food and drug administration does it for you. The list is very long!

Peace, be well!

my only wish for the government is to make a level playing field where everyone has the opportunity to be self-reliant and successful...

mainly through educational programs... and a national focus and desire for education...

with a fantastic education, the sky's the limit... and imagine how amazing America would be if everyone was well educated and what we could accomplish...

I know some areas personally where the playing field is no where near level...

You're right you know...time for you take responsibility for your own defense. Don't go expecting the government to take care of that for you. Hope you can handle a weapon. Jihadists can be tough to take down.

Oh and roads....you do know how to lay asphalt. Of course you do...what self-reliant American doesn't??

And airport security...heck you know the drill and can make sure nobody with ill intent boards your flight.

Good luck with the self reliant thing. Too bad more Americans don't think that way....

lol. So apparently you are living by yourself with no support from anyone and no one has ever giving you anything. You don't think people have tried to be self reliant but were not becasue of poverty, institutional racism, or even unexpected disabilities. Don't your realize your feeble attempt to mock people who misuse the welfare system actually saddens those who wish to be self reliant and can't.
thanks for being so righteous though by wishing us all life has to offer as apparently for you it is to post such a stupid post. Like anyone cares that you wish stuff for people.

You flawed government and means. God is all-powerful and if he wills something take place or somebody grow to be efficient, so be it. in spite of the shown fact that, the governments belong to devil by using fact in case you remember the circumstances Jesus became into tempted via the devil, devil provided him the kingdoms of the earth if he could bow right down to him. the only way it fairly is frequently a valid grant is that if the " kingdoms" in any different case prevalent as " governments" belong to him which they do. to that end, Bush is a follower of devil.

Ron Paul FTW. **** the government. We have gotten fat, lazy, and complacent, and our government is rampantly imposing their policies on sovereign nations around the world.
