If you have a good vocalist (not your mediocre best friend to sing) and a decent pianist, a few that I have sung at weddings over the years:

"At Last" by Etta James

"I am Your Angel" by Celine Dion and R Kelly (can be adapted to a solo)

"From This Moment" by Shania Twain

"Candle on the Water" from Disney's "Pete's Dragon"---don't laugh its a beautiful song. My mother sang it at her own wedding in '81!

"I Swear" by John Michael Montgomery (redone into a pop version by some boy band later)--may need to be transposed to a higher key for a female

"Beautiful in My Eyes" by Joshua Kadison-may have to transpose.

It sounds kind of corny, but a lot of people have had "Sunrise, Sunset" from "Fiddler on the Roof" sung or played when the mother of the bride is seated.

If you search the internet for wedding music, you can browse through some music books especially for weddings and you might find something that way. Your musicians, if they've played/sung weddings before, should consult with you and give you suggestions as well. In addition, if it's a church wedding, some ministers/pastors/priests do not permit "secular" or "pop" music to be sung at church.

Here is a link that will take you to the song list of one songbook. There are plenty others to look at as well.

I hope this helps, and good luck!

I heard "One Hand, One Heart" from West Side Story sung by a woman at a wedding and it was beautiful. In the movie it's sung as a duet, but at the wedding I went to a woman sang the whole thing by herself. If I were going to get married all over again I would choose this song.
