No he doesn't! He's just trying to get you off his back. Okay, maybe he does if that's what his dad was like. He should have more pride in his appearance. Maybe you should leave him alone. You can't really make him change. Would he wear nice clothes if you bought him some new clothes? Would he let you rub his elbows with moisturizer? Do you want to help him lose weight with healthy cooking and plenty of exercise? Would he go for that? Don't just throw all his old stuff out but introduce new stuff. Okay?

OK, so you are asking how to change a guy. Didn't anyone tell you not to try that.
He does not think it is macho, he just does not think staying in shape and smooth skin is a priority.
First don't nag. Have a very direct conversation. Now that is something women don't like to do. Keep it real short. If he says no thanks not interested, then you have your answer.

You can answer this Question yourself if you really thought about it. Think back to when you two first met, Was the slouchy fella like that when you dated him in the begining?, That's letting me think, he did the right thing first to get you to be with him , then, went back to his normal way of living. That's a sign to let him know you can do better than him if he decides to stay trashed out alot. let him know your not attracted to dirty looking men, and that's the reason you've been not interested to look your best for him because he's not giving you the attention your accustomed to when you were just friends..

If you don't like it then you can tell him that you don't appreciate his pot belly and rough elbows, maybe he will do something about it. After all, it won't hurt to try.
