Most definitely. I would even suggest that you send a thank you letter. You should also open the door for future interviews. Say that you will be glad to provide additional information about you. Give an additional reference or restate something, which you think, would be good for you.

I think everyone should send out Thank You Cards after an interview. Being a recent grad myself, I can tell you from personal experience that I ALWAYS sent out a thank you card after my interview. Its a good idea because these companies that you are interviewing for go through many interviews and sending them a thank you card is like a reminder. It gives you the opportunity to refresh your memory in the interviewers mind. It seems to work well for me because I always got a second interview. I believe if they can't decide between to people, a thank you card will definitely give you the hands up. I actually bought 50 thank you cards online at www.overnightprints.com. Their not expensive, the quality is pretty good, and its easy to customize your own design online.

I think its crucial to send a thank you card. Most people do not, and it can make the hiring supervisor or whoever is doing the hiring remember you and make you more competitive. Besides, its always a good idea to thank them for their time and consideration. Websites like monster.com stess this.
