I've never heard of A Perfect Circle... I personally like The Hush Sound, the combination of rock and classical feel to their music fits my tastes perfectly.

Pink Floyd:
They created sounds that still using nowadays, they were the first band to use cuadraphonic sound on a concert, they are the first band to play a concert on special stages on the water, they introduced the artistic performance on their concerts, complex illumination and giant animatronics on their shows: state-of-the-art techonoly on their live tours.
Powerful guitar, ominous keyboards, great drums and a fella who know how to do his job on the bass guitar, great albums like "The Dark Side of The Moon", "The Wall", "Wish You Were Here" among others make this band my absolute favorite band.
